Acting on another (youtube)movie set.

If you follow my blog for a longer time you probably already knew I acted in a short movie as I told in this blog post. And one of my first blog posts was about being on the set of the upcoming movie The Fault In Our Stars.

So get ready for my third story about being on a movie set, this one is pretty intense, as I may say myself.

So this time I helped for a YouTube series as you may have read in the title. It was for a Dutch YouTuber named Mert, He has a YouTube series called "Marokkaan geeft rijles" (which means Moroccan gives driving lessons) together with his good friend, and YouTuber colleague Dylan.

The series are about a very stereotypical Moroccan boy called Mo (played by Mert) who gives driving lessons to a lot of people including a very awkward stereotypical Dutch boy called Geertje(played by Dylan). Together They end up in the most weird and awkward situations.

The location that we filmed was a club named Chicago Social Club, which was located on Leidsesquare.

we got to read the script, which was hilarious. Can't tell you too much about it. I had to "Make out" with some strange guy (not really though, but I bet it looks very real). So you probably don't want to miss it. Not even joking!

I've had moments I was actually trying my best not to laugh on set, since we were acting. Or when I was looking along on the monitor and I was very pleased with what I saw. It is hilarious.

It was too much fun on set! I've learned a lot, and I've just laughed a lot. And the director was pretty amazing too. 

Dutchies, I'll definitely blog about the episode as soon as it airs. Which is probably next month already. It will be hilarious, and for all the people who don't speak Dutch, you can always turn on subtitles! Hopefully they will make sense.

I really like to thank Mert, Dylan and the entire crew for this experience. I'm so excited for the episode.

Being on a(nother) movie set.

Last weekend I was for the second time in my entire life on a movie set, for people who have read my blog since the beginning will know when my first time on a set was.

This time it wasn't too look but to actually be in the movie. Nothing special though, I was just a random girl dancing in the club. But I enjoy just being on a set and seeing the crew build up everything for a scene then break it all down and build it up again differently for another scene, or the same scene but another shot. All the building up and breaking down took a lot of time. So we had to wait a lot which some other actors didn't like, but I didn't mind. I was so fascinated by how it all went. The crew were all young people around my age and it was all so professional. People like them make me happy, they make my realize that you can achieve a lot on a young age if you have the passion and just go for what you want to do.

Deniz turned 19 today, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENIZ!! He is a producer, and he has his own company called Bruut.tv. He is someone I look up to, I'm still figuring out what I want to do with my life. but it will definitely be something in the media. Meeting him on set was very inspiring for the people who have read my About me on my blog know meeting people I look up to a lot is my favorite thing to do. So that was very inspiring.

back to the set.
On set we had to do scene's over and over again, and wait a lot. We got food, which was okay! We had to play dancing people in a club in Salou in Spain.

The movie is dutch, it is called "Mooiboys" like I mentioned in my last blogpost. It is a dutch movie made for film festivals.

There will be an exclusive premiere which I got invited for since I was in it, and I'm super excited to see what it will look like when it is all done.

Experiences like this make me excited for the future!

The Fault In Our Stars.

This is the Trailer of the upcoming movie The Fault In Our Stars, which is a book from the bestseller John Green. The book is a bestseller, I've read it myself and it's one hell of an emotional novel. The book and the movie basically exploded in the media world, and became viral.

The book is about this 16 year old girl named Hazel Grace, Hazel has cancer. She goes to a support group for children living with cancer because her mom makes her go. There she meets Augustus Waters, and she falls madly in love with him. Not gonna spoil too much of the story this is a book you really have to read by yourself. And trust me it is not what it looks like.

A part of the book takes place in Amsterdam, John wrote that part when he lived in Amsterdam for 3 months. Which meant the crew had to come to Amsterdam which meant I could maaayybeeeee meet this amazing writer. Oh what a pleasure living in Amsterdam.

So yeah that's sort of what happened, I good friend of mine found out where they would be filming and she and I visited the set and actually were aloud to stay on the set while shooting. I've never experienced something this intense and much fun. The scene was shot with Ansel Elgort, who plays Augustus, and Shailene Woodley , who plays Hazel. And as soon as they stopped shooting and the actors got a little break from filming I could hear Ansel singing "and I, I will always love youuuuuuuu" out loud which was amazing haha.


I am looking forward to the movie which comes out the 5th of June in Amsterdam and the 6th in America. I recommend the book, it is honestly written so well. And the story is just very touching, it makes you hate but love John Green for writing it. And if you want to know what I mean by saying that you gotta read it...
