Outfits of the past week.

You probably noticed I haven't blogged in a while, sorry sorry sorry. But the thing is... I have been very sick the past 2 weeks (nothing serious) and I couldn't get myself to blog or do my homework or anything else. I'm still a little sick but I'm getting better.

What I did do is make a sort of a look book of what I wore the past week. Spring just started and surprisingly it was actually sunny and warm for that week, so I decided to get all of my summer clothes ready and show you some!

(Excuse me for the poor focusing, I had to do it all on my own and I filmed it in the morning so I was too sleepy to even notice. I'll make sure I check it properly next time!)

Sunday.
I had a birthday party from my little cousin who turned 3! She was adorable, I didn't overdress of course because she's still very young. And I decided to go with this pants because I had a bruise on my leg which was hurting like crazy with my skinny jeans on. The top misses a button, that is because I've had it for years.

Monday.
I love these pants with snake print, my mom got me these when she was in Dubai. It's like I don't even have pants on. I wore it with a simple black top because the pants are already enough colors. And a big owl necklace (who I broke the same day oops).

Tuesday.
That skirt is one of my favorites because of the lovely color, I bought it last year in random shop. the top says "Stay Weird" upside down (you have no idea how many people asked me that) and is from the Brandy Melville.

Wednesday.
The see through top was a present from my aunt and I love it, but if I saw it in a store I probably wouldn't even had tried it on. So I'm glad my aunt has such an extraordinary taste in clothes! I could finally put some jeans on too!

Thursday.
The pants were very blue and I never really know what to wear with them. I decided to got with this sleeveless blouse from the H&M, I like this blouse because it is longer in the back. very simple, but I like it

Friday.
This friday was a big worldwide thing from OnePiece. OnePiece asked all customers around the world to wear their OnePiece to work or school and send them a picture with the hashtag #OnePiece2Work. And for every picture they donated money to FuckCancer. I thought this was a lovely idea and I couldn't be happier, I was very sick and walking around in my OnePiece made it less terrible. Even though I had some people looking weird at me, but I also got compliments!

What was your favorite outfit?

A quick Pampertime.

I've been super tired the past week so I felt like I needed a little me-time. So I came to the conclusion to have a little pamper time for myself.

So I decided to share my pamper night with you all, everyone needs a little me-time from time to time to get a little bit rest and just to get rested.

Starting off
I took a hot shower, put on my pj's and Dutch braided my hair so it wouldn't be in the way for later. And I sprayed it with this hair treatment so my hair would be soft as it dried naturally.

Ignore the nailpolish hahah

let's do this!
I brushed my teeth,

I got a lot of face masks last week at my birthday, as a present from both of my sisters. So it was time to try one. I decided to go for a cucumber pull off mask, because I love cucumber and a pull off mask is so easy (if you don't get it stuck in your hair) and I was feeling lazy so it was perfect.

the mask is clear and was very refreshing
And when I had the mask on I put on fake cucumber on my eyes.

Finished it off by laying on my bed with my eyes closed and music on for about 15 minutes. It was very nice.

After the pampering it was time to sleep and I felt good and rested.

What are your must-haves when you feel like having a quick pamper night ?

Standards don't define you.

A couple months ago a Viner named Nash Grier.

This guy.
made a YouTube video ranting about girls and what "guys" look for in girls. If you're into social media you probably have seen it because this video went viral and got a lot of attention by the way he started ranting about girls with his two friends.

Let me get a couple things straight about Nash.
  • He got a lot of subscribers on YouTube because of his successful vines.
  • He vines a lot with his little sister which is an adorable little blonde, very blue eyed girl.
  • Look at Nash, his eyes are really blue too.
  • Girls just really fancy him and think his sister is adorable so he got best of both worlds.
That is why he got so much hate for doing what he did. And it made me pretty mad too, especially because girls are usually insecure about themselves.

BUT.

That is not what this blog post is about. Because he made this video, he got a lot of responses from other YouTubers.

Girls are insecure most of the time, that is because the standards are insanely high. And what Nash did, making this video, is making the standards only higher for the girls that fancy him and look up to him.

One of the YouTube respond video's he got really spoke to me. This girl called Savannah Brown made a slam poem as response to the video. This video is so mature and it is so full of good messages, and so well done. It is a fine piece of art right there. Very original.

So watch it, Listen to it, Think about it.

Standards don't define us, they never did, they never will.

The City and its beauty.

When I don't feel okay I tend to do weird stuff, a couple weeks ago I felt sort of bad and decided to walk around in Amsterdam at 7 in the morning before school started. Why? I have absolutely no idea, did it work? yeah!
I died at this, isn't it gorgeous?

through the day it's actually hard to walk fast through these streets.

It was so quiet, and so calming. And admit it, Amsterdam looks pretty amazing when it's that empty.

I cleared my head, walking around that early, and seeing the sun come up. And this comes from someone who appreciates her sleep more then anything. So I was a bit in chock of my weird idea, but it made me realize something.

Walking around, all alone is good from time to time. Just walking around, clearing your head. And appreciate the city, or village you live in. It took me two early, quiet mornings to realize how beautiful the city is I live in.

I live in Amsterdam, but this isn't just meant for anyone that lives in Amsterdam, it doesn't matter where you live. Go walk. On your own, or with a close friend. Walk quietly or talk as much as you want. But don't take the usual way, take another one. And look around, put your phone away and really look at everything and everyone around you. You'll be surprised. At least I was! You start noticing things you would've never noticed. It's kind of a meditation.

So when I discovered all this small interesting streets and all these beautiful canals I started looking in a different way to everywhere I went even places like dam square where I walked around daily, and believe it or not, I discovered Amsterdam's beauty all over again. So I made a video to show you pretty Amsterdam, and I liked to see even more and film it so you could enjoy the view with me.
